Well, more frequent updates have not happened but I do have an adventure to tell. I've spent roughly two weeks trying Yoga for the first time. I use to back in middle school dabble in it but I never stuck to it. I bulked at this past semester, if only because of the stereotype attached to it. I use to assume only waife looking women did Yoga. Well, I was wrong.

I decided to try Yoga at Fit in Boonsboro. This is a small gym, right in the downtown area. This gym is run by a group of active and wonderful women. They are willing to take the time to answer your questions and have taught me things I would never had assumed about Yoga.

    Lessons I learned:

    - That Yoga is just as diverse as weight lifting in terms of body types.

    - I'm oddly flexible.

    - The practice has helped me to start being more reasonable with myself (that's difficult to do!)

I've learned a lot thus far.

Well, the last fall semester is over and break has begun. I have spent some of my break running around, completeing my shopping but I have also found a gym within a two mile walking distance from my Western shore point A. I'm excited to visit and get back into a routine. So, hopefully there will be a review of this place for you all.

I should add that downtown Boonsboro has a new population of snowmen and women (Even a Platypus.) This was a pretty awesome surprise to find as I drove home, singing to the radio. Well, here's to more frequent updates and much holiday cheer.

Well, Thanksgiving came and went way too fast. My mom was not hesitant to let me take over cooking.

    The Menu:

    1. Tuna Steaks with Wasabi Cream

    2. Sweet Potatoes with Coriander

    3. Green Beans with mint and tomatoes

    4. Pumpkin Pie (bought; Bob Evan's)

I had originally intended to have the Japanese Curry ready to with this meal but that did not happen. The pesto I made did turn out smashingly.

If you're wondering how this connects to travel, then let me explain. Travel involves you in an experience (or two, depending). Cooking does about the same thing, er go it works.

I will be traveling tomorrow to my Eastern Shore point A and here's hoping that the traffick is managable. Wish me luck.

Its been too long since I've posted. I hate and understand that my work has to come first but it does prevent me from writing new and different things. If you are wondering what is the deal with my title, understand I'm a peculiar plant person. Over the summer I took to growing plants from seeds and now I have what could be considered a small garden at my Western Shore point A. After all, there's only so many plants that can be kept at my Eastern Shore point A.

No matter how zealously watered this small garden is, I'm grateful to see them thriving. I've recently picked some of the basil leaves and I forgot how good that plant smelled. I think pesto making may be in order. I'm trying to figure out how to care for my Celosia plant, Beatrice, she hasn't been looking all that well. I look forward to replanting and encouraging further growth and figuring out how to encourage Beatrice along.

Turkey Day in my family's home does not consist of eating Turkey. Instead, I make curry and rice. I'm looking forward to cooking and not dealing with the push to finish papers. I just want to slow down and set a comfortable pace to get a dent in my work.

Over all, I'm grateful for this break.

I've been thinking about my biography bit on this site. Honestly, my nickname does mean yarn and I do wind up going from point A to B thru Z but I thought it might be a good idea to develop what I mean by point A.

When I say point A it means where I leave my laptop or (in more cliche terms) where I hang my hat. I live in two different towns in Maryland, one in the west and one in the east, and when I wasn't in either one then my point A was a temporary one. I decided that I should post what few photos of point A that I have.

    When I was in Tokyo...

    When I was in Russia...

    1. St. Petersburg (Hotel Ladoga)

    2. Moscow... Sadly, I don't have photos of this temporary point A but all I can say is that it was small and that I nearly killed myself trying to get out of the bathtub because of how high the sidewalls were. ><

When I was in China...(Most of these are views from my hotel rooms.)

    1. Beijing

    2. Xi'an. Sadly, no photos but I can tell you that right across the street was a little convinece store that sold EXTREMELY cheap beer.

    3. Shanghai. No photos but considering that I was within walking distance from Nanjing street, my lack of hotel photos makes sense.

    4. Shengzheng.

When I was in Hong Kong...

Our hotel was rather swanky. It was huge and near the Temple Street Night Market.

    * Over all, Chinese hotel rooms are small (for Japan, this varied).

    - my semi-permanent point A's may get posted later but enjoy these for now.

this is an area known for international holdings from the past. In some of the photos you'll see a river between me and what looks like an island. This area use to be farm land but now it is fully developed.

I was lucky enough to visit the Olympic Village, while in Beijing. It was a quick trip but the architecture was worth it.

My nickname means yarn in Japanese. This is amusing and considering that I'm always going from point A to point B-Z, it makes it easy to follow me. So, just watch for the yarn lines to come.
